We Build Green
In support of Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), FTR takes pride in our adherence and commitment to the construction of LEED certified buildings. We believe that Green buildings offer significant advantages to our society by reducing the environmental impacts through sustainable construction.
FTR International Inc. works with project Owners/Agencies and architects to produce value engineering solutions and we integrate sustainability initiatives to pursue LEED accreditation on our projects. Some of our Green practices, as also identified by the U.S. Green Building Council, include the incorporation of environmentally friendly concepts into design and materials. We consider site conditions, waste minimization, energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and other environmental and health factors in construction.
As Green Building becomes essential worldwide and more integral to FTR International Inc.'s practice, we boast an industry-leading Green Building portfolio and rank fourth in California and twenty fifth nationally as listed by Engineering News Record (ENR) Magazine for 2007.
Our firm has been honored for two consecutive years with Merit Awards for Sustainable Design for two distinctive educational projects. Through our knowledge, self-performance capability and technical skills, we anticipate project challenges, develop solutions that meet our client's objectives and ultimately deliver award-winning projects.
